Eureka!

I've mostly complained about the rain this winter because it has made a mess of our backyard.  But on the positive side, the rain washed the dirt off a low wall that divides our property from my great aunt's house next door and, one day, I looked down to discover what you see above.  That would be my grandpa's initials on the left (JKL) and the date 5/25/41.  My grandparents moved into this house -- it was obviously brand new then -- in 1941.  I can just picture my grandpa writing his initials in the wet cement back in '41.  Sixty-nine years later, we live in their house with their great-grandson.  Kinda blows my mind...

Wow, that is really cool! I bet they are very happy to have you guys living in their house- in fact, I think they would want you to live there forever so I think you should talk to Nate's Gramma and her sister and work out the details :) Just my 2 cents!
